Author Guidelines
AFROEUROPA acepta artículos (3000-5000 palabras), reseñas de libros, películas o exposiciones de arte (500-1000 palabras), entrevistas (3000-5000 palabras), historias breves (1000-3000 palabras) y poesía (hasta 100 versos) en español, inglés, francés, portugués, italiano o alemán. Si se incluyen imágenes, l@s autores deberán garantizar el respeto a las leyes de copyright. Las contribuciones deberán ser originales e inéditas, y no estar sometidas a procesos de evaluación por parte de otros posibles editores. Las propuestas serán sometidas a la consideración de los comités editorial científico arriba indicados, que dictaminarán sobre la oportunidad de su publicación, atendiendo a criterios de excelencia académica, rigor y concisión en el tratamiento del tema elegido, o, en su caso, originalidad artística. Por tanto, el nombre y filiación académica de l@s autores deberán enviarse en una hoja al margen del texto principal, sin que en este figuren referencias que puedan permitir su identificación. Es imprescindible presentar un breve resumen del texto en inglés, además de las palabras clave y el título. Los textos se remitirán en formato Word o PDF a la Dra. Marta Sofía López Rodríguez, e-mail marta-sofia.lopez@unileon.es, siguiendo las convenciones del MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (6ª edición). AFROEUROPA admits articles (3000-5000 words), interviews (3000-5000 words), book, film or exhibition reviews (500-1000 words), short stories (1000-3000 words) and poetry (up to 100 lines) in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese or German. Contributions should be original and unpublished, and not undergoing other processes of evaluation. If the author uses images or other audio-visual materials, s/he must guarantee that copyright laws are respected. Proposals for publication will be peer-reviewed, therefore the author’s name, affiliation or any other data which could facilitate identification should be omitted from the main text and sent in a separate cover. It is necessary to include a brief abstract, together with the title and key words in English. Texts must be submitted in Word of PDF to Dra. Marta Sofía López, marta-sofia.lopez@unileon.es; they must follow the conventions of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (6th edition). Use italics instead of underlining for the titles. AFROEUROPA vous invite à envoyer des contributions (environ 3000-5000 mots), des interviews (environ 3000-5000 mots), des notes de lecture portant sur la littérature, le cinéma ou sur une exposition artistique d´environ 500-1000 mots, sur des contes (environ 1000-3000 mots) et poésie (environ100 lignes) en espagnol, anglais, français, italien, portugais ou allemand. Les contributions doivent être originales et ne pas avoir été publiées auparavant, ni être sous considération ailleurs. Tous les documents photographiques et audiovisuel utilisés par les auteurs dans leur contribution devront respecter les droits d´auteur. Etant donné que les propositions à contribution seront évaluées par les comités éditorial et scientifique du journal, veuillez vous abstenir d´inclure dans le texte des références (nom de l´auteur, affiliation académique ou n´importe quelle autre information) qui pourrait révéler l´ identité du contributeur. Celles-ci devraient être fournies sous pli séparé. Les manuscrits (contributions), en format Word ou PDF, seront reçus à l´adresse suivante: Dra. Marta Sofía López, marta-sofia.lopez@unileon.es. C’est nécessaire d’ajouté un résumé plus le titre et key-words en anglais. Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format. It is strongly recommended that your final format be Adobe Acrobat PDF, following review and editing suggestions, to ensure that the final submission presented to the public is page formatted exactly as you intend.
- When available, the URLs to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference. The URLs are ready to click (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca).
- The text is single-spaced between words and sentences; interlining is 1.5 between lines, twice 1.5 lines between quotations and main text; uses a 12-point arial font and 10-point for quotations and footnotes; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. Footnotes at the end of the text.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review) have been followed.
References should follow the format Surname, Name. ("Title of Article"). Title of book or magazine. Place of publication: Press, date. Pages.
Use a French indent for the list of references.
